An airy, elegant restaurant with Midwestern charm, Mia Rosebud stands out in Boca Raton’s high-powered dining scene. Part of the Rosebud Restaurants Group, Mia Rosebud merges Chicago-style hospitality with South Florida flair. Boca Raton also marks the group’s first location outside Illinois and its 10th overall.
“I think it’s one of the most fantastic-looking establishments,” says Alex Dana, president of Rosebud Restaurants. “It gives a new flair — very open, very color-coordinated. We made a beautiful bar that’s indoor-outdoor, circular and where people can sit outside. The restaurant has a flow.”
The upscale design, created by Jackson Harlan Architects, transformed a long-vacant space into a 7,700-square-foot dining hotspot. Guests can watch the chefs in action thanks to an open-style kitchen, where meat is roasted in a Rotisol rotisserie. Passersby can even spot the commissary-style back kitchen from the sidewalk. Other features include a 600-bottle wine wall and a semi-private dining room.
With more than 50 years of restaurant experience, Dana says consistency and quality are crucial at Mia Rosebud. “We’re a cook-to-order restaurant. Our brick chicken is a signature dish — crispy, whole, split in half. It’s beyond anything. Also, we use Midwest prime age steaks, because Chicago was always the stockyard capital of the country.”
Mia Rosebud’s zesty pastas are beloved family recipes passed down from Dana’s relatives. Made fresh daily, they include a hand-rolled, eight-finger cavatelli served with house-made marinara.

Beyond its bold menu, Mia Rosebud brings something else to Boca Raton: a different level of hospitality. That guest-first philosophy is echoed by Marco Micheli, Rosebud Restaurants’ director of operations.
“Creating one-of-a-kind dining experiences is at the heart of everything we do — from the elegant, energetic atmosphere to a staff trained in fine dining. When our guests walk through the door, we want them to feel welcome and genuinely cared for.”
Guests are taking notice, returning with friends and family. “People drive hundreds of miles to dine with us,” Micheli adds. “We honor that.”
With private dinners, corporate events and wine and cigar nights, Mia Rosebud is more than a restaurant — it’s a culinary destination for locals and tourists alike.
